Well, okay, not too many were pudgy, chunky, nor old fogies! But they sure looked great. And the conversations around the tables were to die for. Ayan na yung kwentuhan tungkol kay (toot) kung may asawa na siya. And the familiar questions that began with "Whatever happened to that guy/girl na ang gwapo-gwapo/ganda-ganda?" But this being UP Campus Crusade for Christ, there was something different in the talk.

Aside from the laughter over how each person looked way back when, there was also time to recall all the junior and servant core retreats and the spats and confessions and "Spirit-filled" sharing time about their EIs (Emotional Involvements, for the sake of those not-in-the-know).

There were the incredulous reactions to revelations like, "Ano? Crush mo pala nuon si ______?" Or "Ha? Nag-pastor si _____? Eh di ba hindi naman nagsasalita yun nuon?"

Julie Anne Tarroja, fondly remembered as a toddler, sang a song with ardor which got the attention of Mark Armas, 5-year old son of Ammi Marasigan-Armas. Mark gave her a note to appreciate her and shyly hid behind a chair when Julie gave him a wave and a smile; to which Benjie Cruz felt pangs of jealousy – insisting that Julie Anne was looking at him the entire time she was singing. (Asa pa!)

Ang cute ng mga anak ni Clem at Menchu. At sina Cheska and Bea of "ballerina" Melody were turning out to be grandmasters, playing chess the whole time we were there. Dani Tiangco and Camille Armas were helping out their moms during the program, either distributing the pieces of paper for the chain game or trying to find out what’s next in the program.

The time ended with a prayer for the present campus director, Hans Pe, also a UP alumnus, that as he leads the team in passing on the legacy of our forefathers, he will be found faithful.

Alumni from the ‘80s couldn’t get enough of the chika that they decided to have a nite out and talk about their batchmates who were missing at that time. Mahirap ang hindi dumarating – ikaw ang pinaguusapan. So come na on October 28, and find out kung available pa ang crush mo nuon. This could be the start of something big and romantic! (Hmmmm….)
